German Robotics Conference

1st German Robotics Conference (GRC) 13-15 March 2025

OpenSwarm researchers, Genki Miyauchi (University of Sheffield) and Roderich Groß (University of Sheffield/TU Darmstadt) were in Nuremburg, Germany, to participate in the 1st German Robotics Conference (GRC) organized by the Robotics Institute Germany (RIG).

Genki gave an oral presentation on their OpenSwarm work on multi-human multi-robot interaction that investigates the ability of multiple operators to dynamically share the control of robot swarms.

Genki also gave a poster presentation on their recent work on energy-replenishment strategies for robot swarms that investigates strategies to achieve long-term autonomy of robot swarms.

Together with the team at TU Darmstadt, two robot demonstrations were presented during the conference: (1) Multi-robot maze traversal and (2) teleoperation of a CapBot using a gaming controller.
