The Inria team received the Best Demo Award at the International Conference on Embedded Wireless Systems and Networks (EWSN) 2025 in Leuven, Belgium for the following paper!

The demo presented the Micro-robot Access Radio Infrastructure (Mari), which allows responsive wireless communication for low-power ultra-dense robot swarms using TSCH over BLE and multiple independent gateways. The setup consisted of 120 devices connected using 2 gateways, exchanging messages with command line and web utilities:

• 20 DotBots that could be:
  • controlled in real time from a web browser
  • flashed over the air in 20 seconds
• 100 additional wireless nodes to demonstrate the scalability of the protocol
• a dashboard showing the live status of the network, including connected nodes, latency (avg. <250 ms) and packet delivery ratio (avg. >95%)
